DLE MENTOR SOARS AT PUBLIC SPEAKING OLYMPICS

Public speaking guru Marc Williams, a member of the 2022 DLE Leadership Immersion faculty, ascended to the finals of the Toastmasters International Speech Competition, held on August 19.

Marc won his semi-final round with a speech titled “Circles,” which earned him a spot in the finals. Then he stepped onto the world stage with a speech called “Love You for Free,” inspiring an international audience to lock arms and spread love. “While I did not win the finals,” he reflects, “I delivered a message that won over the crowd. And now my next step is to evolve my speeches into training programs.”

Marc’s future training focus is two-fold: one for community building strategies for organizations, and the other for helping companies succeed with a “small act of…” approach.
