INAUGURAL STEM PROGRAM AT BERKSHIRE INNOVATION CENTER HAS DLE CONNECTION

The Berkshire E-Talent Accelerator (BETA), an experimental STEM learning program, has launched this month at the Berkshire Innovation Center in Pittsfield, MA, with a DLE connection!

DLE Founder Linda Dulye, who is President of Dulye & Co. consultancy, is among the inaugural mentors for the program, which brings together selected high school juniors, seniors and recent graduates with an interest in pursuing a career in technology or advanced manufacturing.

In a session titled “How to Make a Great First—and Lasting—Impression,” Linda will coach the group on developing and communicating a powerful personal brand. Additionally, she will lead a roundtable conversation about “Your Career Ownership Starts Now,” offering perspectives and advice for students and new grads to make the most of academic, internship and work opportunities.“The Berkshire Innovation Center is proud to have Dulye & Co. supporting the inaugural BETA experiential learning program. Innovation exists throughout the workforce, and Linda’s absolutely unique leadership training is a key piece to the career puzzle the BETA program aims to address,” notes Kate Light, BETA Program Director. “We’re also excited about the networking opportunities and potential mentorship for our BETA members that comes along with access to the DLE community of ambitious young professionals.”

Joining in the roundtable session are DLE Advisory Board Members Marcus Coleman, Financial Service Representative, Raymond James, Pittsfield, MA, and Anna Worley, Systems Engineer at General Dynamics Mission Systems, also in Pittsfield, MA.

Known by the acronym BETA-1, the inaugural, six-week program runs weekdays through Nov. 20 and features sessions about STEM career opportunities in the Berkshires as well as essential fundamentals for a successful career path. Twenty students from Berkshire-based schools have been selected to the program. The teens represent seven high schools across Berkshire County. Several participants are first-year college students or newly employed.
