August 3, 2023Long-time DLE member Kalee Carmel is expanding her career portfolio through a leadership role with national reach.
Kalee has been appointed Treasurer of The National Federation of Business and Professional Women’s Clubs (NFBPWC) and Treasurer of the Virtual Chapter affiliate of NFBPWC. Additionally, she will have key roles with the organization’s Young Business Professional Women’s Committee and the Environment and Sustainable Development Committee.
“There is much to do and much to learn, but I am up for the journey and know it will be full of gratitude,” says Kalee, who works as a Cash Management Portfolio Manager at Adams Community Bank in the Berkshires. “I have experience in retail banking, compliance, office operations and IT, which allows me to bring a wide view and unique perspective to my customers and internal projects at work.”
Kalee joined NFBPWC in the fall of 2022 and immediately wanted to grow her involvement in the organization. “From the very first meeting I attended, I was hooked. It has been a pleasure meeting and learning from the astounding women in this organization, gaining companions among fellow young, female leaders and immersing myself in the rich history and shining future of NFBPWC.”
“I hope to bring financial guidance, sound cyber safety practices and operational efficiencies to NFBPWC with the knowledge I have gained in my career and by serving on other boards. My job duties consist of educating and advising business, non-profit and municipal customers in terms of their finances, cybersecurity and supplying useful banking products to make their organizations operate smarter.”
NFBPWC has been representing and elevating women in the workplace for more than 100 years. They operate nationally and globally as an affiliate of BPW International. They have an active advocacy committee and a strong relationship with the United Nations, including their involvement in the formation of the Commission on the Status of Women.
