BEN O’SHAUGHNESSEY JOINS DLE ADVISORY BOARD

The DLE welcomes Ben O’Shaugnessy to the organization’s Advisory Board.

Ben is a consultant, entrepreneur and veteran based in Pittsfield, MA. He started his career in New York State government, where he was selected to serve as part of the Governor’s Excelsior Fellowship Program and placed at the Office of General Services. He has served in the U.S. Army Reserve since 2011, with one overseas deployment under Operation Enduring Freedom (Trans-Sahara).

Most recently he has worked as a consultant in the areas of leadership, community and economic development. He has worked on projects for clients as diverse as the Department of Defense, New York State and Los Angeles County. He has a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and History as well as a Master of Public Administration degree, both from the University at Albany.

Since February 2020, Ben has led an effort with several partners to acquire and refurbish workforce housing in the City of Pittsfield. He currently manages five properties with multiple rehab projects underway. In 2021, he launched a new property management company with his wife Brynna to better facilitate the growth and stewardship of his team’s portfolio. Ben and Brynna are the parents of toddler Henry.
