September 8, 2021The Fall BETA Program gearing up at the Berkshire Innovation Center (BIC) has a strong DLE presence. DLE leaders Marcus Coleman, Anna Worley and Linda Dulye have been invited by Assistant Director Kate Light to return to the BETA classroom.
The trio joined the faculty of the first BETA Program in 2020. “We had a discussion with the students, and they gave great feedback,” said Kate. “We all agreed that your presentation was impactful and a key addition to the curriculum.”
Marcus, Anna and Linda will lead a session on personal branding titled Create Powerful First and Lasting Impressions. “I enjoyed the presentation by Linda, Marcus and Anna as they lit up the room and engaged the BETA students. Their energy was remarkable, and I can’t wait for their return,” Kate said.
Marcus is a registered client service associate at Park Square Financial Advisors of Raymond James. Anna works for General Dynamics Mission Systems as a systems engineer. Linda, who established the DLE in 2008, is the president and founder of Dulye & Co.
BETA, which stands for Berkshire E-Talent Accelerator, is an intensive, experiential learning program for high school juniors and seniors, and recent high school graduates with an interest in technology, engineering or advanced manufacturing. The program leverages subject matter experts and academic talent as faculty and immerses participants in fundamentals critical to STEM career paths.
“I’m excited for the second year of the BETA Program, and I am very proud of the curriculum that we were able to create with the help of community businesses and professionals,” Kate said.
The Berkshire Innovation Center is located in Pittsfield, MA.
