FIRST-TIME MEETINGS

Geographic distance coupled with the pandemic has made DLE Operations Assistant Nicole Laureyns a Zoom acquaintance of community members. That changed on Aug. 4 with an informal gathering in the Berkshires, where Nicole was visiting her family.

During a lakeside dinner at Proprietor’s Lodge (homebase for the DLE Retreat), Nicole met DLE members IN PERSON for the first time. Joining in were (seated, left to right) Michelle Lopez, Linda Dulye, Nicole Laureyns, Andrea Lein, and (standing, left to right) Kalee Carmel, Danielle Sanders, Michael Laureyns and Melanie Rowe.

“It has been so great to see everyone and to have these connections come full circle. I’m very grateful to be a part of this wonderful community of people,” shares Nicole.
