It’s the DLE Summer Read–a non-fiction best seller selected by community members for its relevance and applicability for professional development. The winning title is Leading Without Power by Max De Pree, the Fortune 25 CEO whose Herman Miller business has triumphed for more than 60 years in the furniture industry thanks to its innovative ideas.
You can access Leading Without Power several ways:
- Borrow a copy from the DLE HQ at 100 North Street, Suite 402. Several copies have been purchased as two-week loaners for DLE members.
- Purchase a copy from Thriftbooks.com or Betterworldbooks.com. Both sites sell used copies of the book for a reduced price.
- Purchase a copy at full price on Amazon
- Consult your local public library for availability

Shared learnings from the DLE Summer Read, Leading Without Power, will electrify discussion at the next in-person DLE Meetup, slated for August 26.
