WELCOME SOCIAL MEDIA/MARKETING INTERN, ERIN BEDNARCZYK

My name is Erin Bednarczyk, a senior who is majoring in marketing with a concentration in marketing communications and digital marketing at Siena College in upstate New York. I am so excited to join the DLE team as the Marketing and Social Media intern.

I grew up in Whitesboro, NY, and for the longest time, I was uncertain about my future career path. I constantly explored new activities and honed various skills without a clear direction. It wasn’t until I took my first marketing class in college that everything clicked.

The creativity and the dynamic nature of the field fascinated me, aligning perfectly with my aspirations. Siena College provided the ideal environment for me to pursue my passion for marketing while thriving in other facets of my life. Throughout my college journey, I’ve transformed into a more driven, confident and collaborative person.

Embarking on numerous enriching journeys, I’ve been fortunate enough to experience the wonders of travel, both within the U.S. and abroad. During my sophomore spring semester of college, I studied abroad in Cork, Ireland, where I grew as a person–not only academically but personally and culturally. Living in a different country exposed me to new perspectives, challenged my comfort zone and allowed me to forge connections with people from diverse backgrounds. I developed independence and enhanced my problem-solving skills. My study abroad was a transformative period that enriched both my academic journey and my personal growth.

I bring to my DLE role experience serving as the communications coordinator for the Siena College Chapter of the American Marketing Association, responsible for handling email marketing for club meetings and workshops. I have served as a marketing intern with the firm CHA Consulting Inc. and for Siena College. Collectively, these opportunities have provided me with a well-rounded skill set, and I look forward to continuing my journey of personal and professional growth during my internship with the DLE.

I appreciate this incredible opportunity and am eager to contribute to the team while learning from this experience. I look forward to growing my network as well as developing my marketing and professional skills.
