ANOTHER DYNAMIC TALENT JOINS THE DLE INTERN CREW: WELCOME, COPYWRITER/CONTENT CREATOR OLIVIA MOEN

Hello DLE community! I am currently a sophomore at Syracuse University, studying marketing at the Whitman School of Management and advertising at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.

I am ecstatic to be a part of the DLE internship team for this semester and embrace this experience for all its worth. I feel as though I am at the prime time in my educational journey to seize every opportunity and soak up as much experience as possible. I am looking forward to becoming a part of a community that will allow me to not only demonstrate my abilities, but simultaneously gain skills I can showcase in my educational career and utilize in my professional career.

Growing up in the Syracuse (NY) area, I was very reluctant to attend a school that was so familiar to me. Now in my second year at SU, I am positive that I am exactly where I should be through a dual major that enables me to gain a variety of skills. My marketing major provides a business insight into the field, while my advertising major fulfills my creative side.

I have made it my goal to get as involved as possible at college. I am a part of Enactus, a global non-profit student community with a unified vision of creating a better, more sustainable world, as their communications team elect. Through this position, I have become familiar with managing various social media platforms in order to promote our events.

I am also a Peer Mentor for first-year students in the business school. In this position, I work as an advisor to a group of mentees to share success strategies and general guidance to ease the transition to college. One of my most exciting positions is as Campus Impact Manager for Bumble. I started this position this semester and it has given me great experience in the marketing field. Through my role, I respond to community needs when applicable, mobilize our campus team and partner with Bumble headquarters on their needs.
