February 23, 2022Equity in the workplace unfolds in many different ways and is constantly evolving. So, what does workplace equity look like in 2022? What are organizations doing to ensure an equitable and inclusive workplace?
Those questions will be explored with a nationally acclaimed DEI expert in a moderated, open discussion on Developing an Equity Lens in Your Workplace at the Dulye Leadership Experience (DLE) Culture Chat virtual program on March 18, starting at 12:00 PM ET.
Cory McCarthy, the Chief Equity Officer at Everett (MA) Public Schools who was recognized by the Massachusetts State House Black and Latino Legislative Caucus for his work with black and brown students, will provide a guideline for identifying what equity means in your workplace and how you can create an impact to build a safe workplace environment that benefits everyone.
Attend this one-hour program to share experiences and gain practices for dealing with workplace inequities and working toward solutions. Make some new professional connections as well. Breakout sessions will be included to promote active networking.

ABOUT CORY MCCARTHY
Cory McCarthy has a long history of working with urban youth. In his quest to change the societal narrative around underserved, underrepresented students and special populations, Cory has spent over a decade coaching and instructing young men and women to not simply utilize their athletic abilities but to ensure four-year college placement and graduation.
Cory is one of the most accomplished basketball coaches of color in Massachusetts with five state titles. Currently the Chief Equity Officer of the Everett Public Schools in Massachusetts, he has held numerous leadership roles as an Instructional Leader, Diversity and Equity & Inclusion Strategic Leader, School Vision, Culture and Climate and continues to advocate for students while helping to deliver weekend programs like LIVIUS, Financial Literacy and College & Career support for students.
He was a critical member of New Mission’s administrative team and Director of School Culture and Climate. Cory’s passion, strategy and tenacity helped lead the school to its designation as a winner of the 2012 EdVestors’ $100k School on the Move Prize, 2013 National Blue Ribbon School for Improvement and the 2017 Title One Distinguished School Award.
Cory is a charismatic and compelling speaker who has traveled the country representing the Boston Public Schools (BPS). He has spoken at the ASUGSV Technology Summit, the ESEA National Conference and COSEBOC. Additionally, he has been a guest lecturer at Emerson College and UMass Boston, speaking on the importance and value of having culturally competent and responsive educators.
He serves on the board of numerous non-profits and recently created a social justice program for middle schoolers in Boston while actively working as the Executive Director of the Urban Coaches Association.
Cory holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education and a Master’s in Education Leadership from Endicott College, and a Master’s in Student Success from Regis College.
