June was national Immigrant Heritage Month, and every year the Berkshire Immigrant Center runs a campaign from June 1 through July 4 honoring local immigrants and residents’ immigrant roots.
This year, Dulye & Co. President and Founder, Linda Dulye, honored her late Nona (grandmother), Mary Pagano Vuolo, an Ellis Island immigrant from San Rufo, Italy with a generous donation to the Berkshire Immigrant Center’s campaign. Linda’s passion and mission for Dulye & Co. began long before its founding as a business in 1998. For her, part of its inspiration came from her Nona’s love of family, drive to succeed and commitment to community.
Donating to the Berkshire Immigrant Center is Linda’s way of honoring her Nona and the old saying that “you need to know where you come from in order to know where you’re going.” Do you know your family’s immigrant story? How has it affected your personal and professional life choices? Research, learn and reflect on your family’s journey to this country, and allow these stories to inspire you!
Based in Pittsfield, MA–also home base for the Berkshire Immigrant Center, Dulye & Co. funds and operates the DLE as a philanthropic, professional development organization supporting the career success of rising leaders in the Berkshires and beyond. The consultancy has helped globally admired companies boost their bottom line and workplace morale with its award-winning strategies in two-way communication, employee engagement, real-time measurement and leadership development.
