CELEBRATING FAMILY ROOTS DURING IMMIGRANT HERITAGE MONTH
July 28, 2021NEW MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: MARIA RUNDLE
July 28, 2021In this full-page article featured in the Berkshire Eagle, DLE Advisory Board Chair Marcus Coleman airs insights on how to build meaningful client relationships. Marcus, also known as Marc, is a registered client services associate at the Pittsfield, MA-based Park Square Financial Advisors of Raymond James.
Incidentally, the DLE is cited in the article–credited for connecting Marcus, who had been living in the metro-Philadelphia area, to the job opportunity and assisting in his recruitment.
Commenting on the DLE connection, Marcus notes, “The DLE always stresses the importance of networking. I think of networking as your ‘net worth at work.’ What do I mean by your ‘net worth at work’? An individual is a summation of their experiences, skills, network and passions. These factors increase or decrease their value to potential employers.”
As for stepping out of his comfort zone for a career and life change, Marcus recognizes the DLE’s paramount role in his story. “My example is taking a risk in relocating to the Berkshires for a lateral career move. I did this in the hope of developing skills and experiences and expanding my network to create new opportunities by increasing my career net worth. Without the DLE, I would never have made a lateral career move. But it turned out to be one of the best decisions in my professional life.”
