STARTING THE HOLIDAYS WITH A LIFE-CHANGING PROPOSAL

The setting was mid-town Manhattan. The time was Thanksgiving Eve. That’s where and when multi-year DLE Retreat Alum Charles Lerner dropped to a knee and proposed to his girlfriend, Dr. Johanna Ben-Ami, who is in residency at Columbia Hospital.

He recalls of the special night, “We were planning to go to dinner on the Upper East Side. As we were walking to the restaurant and came across Central Park, I popped the question.”

Charles, who works for the Tao Group as the Tao Cares Engagement Coordinator, adds, “Central Park is where we walked through for a first date and our go-to spot for runs. It was a special evening. We later celebrated with our parents.”
For those wondering, Johanna said “Yes!”
